‘Unwanted’ Manchester United Star Could Cost Club £17m

Manchester United could be facing a £17m bill for the remainder of unwanted winger Nani’s contract.
The 28-year-old has spent the season on loan at Sporting Lisbon, but with the move unlikely to be made
permanent because of his £110,000-a-week wages, the Portugal international is set to return to Old Trafford with potential suitors not able to afford him.

His future at the Red Devils has been placed into further doubt with the club already announcing the signing of forward Memphis Depay, and despite signing a five-year contract under the previous manager David Moyes in September 2013, Louis van Gaal sees no future for Nani.

The attacker has scored 11 goals in 35 appearances for the Portuguese giants this season,   while he has notched 40 times for United in 230 games.
